Richard Emerson has never been very good at taking โ€œnoโ€ for an answer. Not just because heโ€™s profoundly deaf, either. In the early 1990s he decided New Zealand needed better beer, and that was that. This perfectly-balanced East Coast IPA is dedicated to his unrelenting commitment to the cause.

A classic East Coast IPA style, Fall on Deaf Ears has a rich malt sweetness with citrus and fruity American hop character with a nice little hop bitterness to kick you in the pants.

A prefect beer to share with Mr Emerson, or to sip whilst nestling into his book!

The Phantom Lord displays all the classic stout, characteristics. Black as tar, opulent roast and chocolate notes yet hopped in the way we would hop an American Style Pale Ale. Fermenting with an English Ale yeast has added a luxurious depth to the malty mouthfeel.

A big beer, great for those cold nights, or just as a night cap
